I stopped watching Bones when they wrote out Zack. I never understood why they did that. He was certainly likeable enough of a character. Will be interested to see his return. Hopefully it's not a wasted cameo.
I was so disappointed when they got rid of him, too. About a year later, Eric came out as having rapid-cycling bipolar disorder and although he never said if his illness had anything to do with him losing his job, I always wondered. I'm glad they've finally brought him back even if it's only for a few episodes because his career just died since he left the show.
I thought he couldn't handle being on the show due to his bipolar and that's why he asked to leave? I swear I've heard that before, which made sense why he wasn't really booking other jobs too. Did I make that up??
I haven't been able to find anything where he either said he was fired or that he asked to leave, so I don't know, tbh. I hope it was his choice but it doesn't seem to have ever been made clear either way.
I stopped watching this seriously when they killed Vincent Nigel-Murray. But the writers on this show have this strange habit of murdering/writing off characters for no reason.
I was watching reruns on TNT as background noise earlier this week, and it got to the episode where Daisy gave birth. Just reminded how gross it was to kill off Sweets of all people and leave Daisy pregnant. Like WHY.
lol sorry, this is my rant about plotpoints that happened two years ago. But that comment about two more recurring characters dying just re-awoke something.
I didn't even know Cam and Arastoo were together, tbqh.
i hate that they kill off the best characters, even if they are not super "main" ones
the guy who played sweets just asked for some time off and was into the idea of him being written back in later but it seemed like they were pissy about it and killed him off, which is where I 100% lost interest. He'd become integral to the story and the character dynamics and was irreplaceable imo. I think the new guy does a good job but it's not the same at all.
