I actually kinda hate John "workplace sexual harassment is hilarious" Barrowman AND I don't understand why Malcolm didn't die on Arrow years ago. So this is like a double whammy of BUT WHY.

Like people joke about how if you've worked with John, you've seen his penis. Like idk. It just makes me very uncomfortable. Maybe his specific co-stars find it funny too, but maybe some members of the crew witnessing it don't? It's just really inappropriate and bleeegh.

Considering what Barrowman said at City of Heroes 2 about the Official Canon-Approved Merlyn comic he's working on currently, and how we'll be finding out things in the comic which directly relate to the show and 'change the game' for his character... just like I told you a couple months ago, OP, Malcom Merlyn is going NOWHERE.

I remember! I'm actually happy about this.

I love John but I hate "our" Malcolm so seeing him pop up as another version on one of the other Earths would be fun.

Best of both worlds, imo. Keeps present!Malcolm away for a while (hopefully) but we don't lose John.

This is hilarious to me and weirdly like i've seen into the past and also the future... because John was asked at the con if he wanted to play Malcolm from another Earth, and what that Malcolm would be like...

And he was REALLY PSYCHED ABOUT THE PROSPECT. But obviously looking back, coy.

I think we'll be seeing a heroic Malcolm, because the way John views it, Malcolm desperately has always wanted to be good and be a hero like Oliver (lol), and that "in another world, in another life, he would be that hero". His words!

He probably already had something in the works but couldn't say, your con wasn't that long ago. Berlanti co. ADORE John and to some degree, iirc, they've given him most of what he's asked for/suggested in terms of story for Malcolm.

Wasn't it his idea that he should be Thea's father?

yes! keep him away from thea for a while.

don't really care about seeing "our" malcolm in the past or future since he's always been an asshole but i'd love to see john playing a different version of him on one of the other earths.
