i liked the show a lot, even if it got messy and the long ~artistic ambient shots in S3 bored me, but would be fine with what we got being the end. penny dreadful on the other hand tho ...

I mean I can rewatch the first two seasons because they're really good but the third season.....I don't know I have to be in the RIGHT mood to watch it if that makes any sense? Like I didn't mind the third season as I was watching it but as it went on it became like a chore to watch it weekly.

Yeah, I haven't tried rewatching since the show ended, but I'm sure I'd be able to rewatch the first two, but the third really was a chore to watch, so I doubt I'd be able to rewatch it (but in general I don't really rewatch shows, so... *shrugs*).

lets not even mention the final season of penny dreadful. i cannot get over the fact they knew it was the last one and went with the story lines they did.

yep, i don't get why would they split the show into 5 single-character-led narratives that went either nowhere or could be resolved in 3 eps. the final season wasn't cohesive at all but even if they achieved that, it makes no sense not having the characters united together for the one final hooray before the curtain falls.

these character studies logan wasted a whole season on belonged in the BTS sneak-peeks and we barely learned anything worthwhile anyway lol?

I believe that it was Showtime messing again with another show. They brought new writers, Logan was MIA for half of the show and the sudden death all points to ST's messy ass. And now Logan is taking all the blame while promoting a new show with then... Surejan.gif
