Everyone says that and yet it's so vastly fucking untrue. It was fun to pretend his failure was unjust when it came out in 2004 and wasn't terrible but...no. It's not great. It's just not. JC is a wonderfully talented singer but a shit songwriter and did himself in with that album.

There was a good album in there...somewhere. Lots of good ideas, hella unfocused writing and more importantly, production. But I guess you get that when you work with your mediocrely talented friends.
