Can't wait until this show gets cancelled after a few episodes. Abbie was the heart and soul of the show. Without her, the show is about yet another white guy solving mysteries.

I would guess it was a little of both? She was clearly over the show (and so is Tom tbh), being left out of things, not being utilized, etc.

I think it came down to them not wanting to them not being willing to invest more in her and her choosing to leave.
