This is it, lol. He changed the location and most of the script when Carey dropped out and was replaced with Elle. The title was also going to be 'I Walk with the Dead' instead of The Neon Demon

I think it just took too long to get the movie green-lit. He started writing the script the year Drive came out and then it was stuck in development/pre-production for like three years because he switched writing partners, so Carey just moved on to other projects.
