The lead is a boy? I mean, I thought the great majority of fanfic writers were female. That was my experience at least, actually I don't know any male fanfic writers.

Actually, I remember my friend used to pretend to be a boy when she published her fanfic, because she got more attention that way. Since, it was just such a rare thing in that fandom.

I've seen male writers in fandom, but yeah, it's predominantly women, so this is even more pointless than before.
