I actually thought it would end this season because of the lawsuit so I'm glad they'll at least have time to wrap up the show in a way that's satisfying.

12 episodes seems like a random number (why not 13?) but I'm glad they'll be able to wrap up the series in a satisfying way for the fans.

I'm so excited to see what Emily does after this! Looking forward to seeing her in different roles.

When Angel was cancelled I would have thought it was a decent bet that David Boreanaz would more or less disappear, much in the manner that almost everyone else in the cast did. Instead, he got a fairly successful show that ran for twelve years.
