Because Fail!SungxAwesome!Sung is magical. Screw the fact that Yesung said on national television that he's most awkward with Sungmin; you don't let someone you're awkward with grope you right? Unless you want to relieve sexual frustration but let's not go there.
Okay, I jest. What really drew me in was how different they were. And how they did practically zero fanservice together (and still do). They were refreshing, to say the least. Objectively (I can hear the sniggers already), I think that Yesung and Sungmin do act naturally around each other. They admit to being awkward around each other (yeah, we got it the first two times, guys), make snide remarks about each other, have the weirdest interviews as a duo...
I do feel that Yesung really cares and looks out for Sungmin in a platonic way. Likewise, Sungmin helps adjusts Yesung's outfit, puts away his costume- just helps Yesung when he doesn't notice anything wrong or is just plain lazy to adjust it himself, lol.

I don't care if people think they're a dead ship and should sink or that they're overrated/blah blah blah. I really liked their interactions and yeah well, that little video where they held hands was too precious and is permanently burned into the back of my brain. They were always so sincere. :>
Plus, I have the ultimate soft spot for Han Geng, and Heechul's the only one I can really ship him with. Oh wait, I love HanKyu too, but not as much as HanChul, obviously. .______.
EunHae/HaeHyuk/HyukHae
Goodness, these two guys make me smile every time they interact. Unless Donghae puts on his murderous face and acts all violent. Then I'm calling the spouse abuse hotline on poor Eunhyuk's behalf.
Eunhyuk is obviously the mature one so it's EunHae for like general fics. But for more...rated situations, I'd rather HaeHyuk. Hello, we can't just let the killer combination of Donghae's muscles and his hip thrusts go to waste, right? But I can see them taking turns so HyukHae's alright too. (Why yes, I am well aware that I sound like a major pervert.)

I can safely say that now I'm not an obsessive Kyuhyun stan who would only ship her dear oppa with herself. Yes, I am ashamed of my past. *hides face in shame* Actually, I didn't really ship Kyuhyun with myself, I was just weirdly possessive of him. @_____@
Kyuhyun and Ryeowook just seem cute together. They had me sold ever since I saw Ryeowook sneakily put his hand on the small of Kyuhyun's back/round Kyuhyun's waist (not sure which action) in one of the year-end performances. Sly!Wook FTW. And their selcas are always adorable/entertaining. 8D Most importantly, they actually seem genuinely close; it's really sweet. :>
I can't seem to think of any good fanfic ideas revolving around them though. :/

Unless it's MinWook or MinChul, the idea of Top!Min baffles me. I do not want to start on a NC-17 YeMin fic, only to find out that Sungmin is topping. What. ...Okay, maybe it's more of mislabeling than anything.
(Sungmin is probably gonna give me a flying kick if he ever reads this; well, given the minute likelihood that he does.)
I've recently had an epiphany. If I like the idea of Dominant!Sungmin so damn much and dislike Overly Submissive!Sungmin...Why did I dislike the idea of Top!Sungmin then? (Logic doesn't apply to me, yes.)
So, Top!Min FTW, and I repent for my sins, Sungmin. That said, I still don't wanna come across any mislabeled fics LOL. Switching is perfectly fine though.

Uhhh, this is so painfully one-sided that I just can't imagine them. It takes two, and Eunhyuk's just not reciprocating most of the time. Unless they secretly agreed on this arrangement, with both Yesung and Eunhyuk taking some perverse form of pleasure from Eunhyuk's constant rejections and sometimes cold response to Yesung's attempts of fanservice/skinship/interactions/whatever with him, well, fine. But Yesung's too...tryhard sometimes and it's rather painful to watch.

So I used to be a hardcore Kyuhyun stan, and disliked all of his pairings. My friend, who absolutely adores Zhou Mi, used to shove QMi down my throat. So I hated the ship even more. When I stopped stanning Kyuhyun so hard, I was okay with them. But now, I just don't ship them. I like reading their fics, but I flee when it comes to their rated fics. I think they have the best writers overall, because really, I've never read a bad QMi fic.
Maybe it's because I like QMi bffery too much to imagine them together that way, Idk.
(And please don't give me any broken!KyuMin fics where Zhou Mi is the third party. .___.)

Their fanservice never appealed to me. And I've read too many fics where Sungmin acts as Kyuhyun's subservient wife and Ryeowook is like Yesung's accessory. Sure, Sungmin and Ryeowook's personalities make them seem less...out there/forward than Kyuhyun and Yesung but it's no reason to reduce them to being portrayed as sticking to their partner's hips all the time. Even, and perhaps especially, if they're the side pairing in the fic. But if that's your main perception of the pairing, then you rightfully can write about them that way.
I repeat, I really have nothing against KyuMin and YeWook. I'm just turned off by how Min and Wook are portrayed in a lot of the fics I came across. Yeah, so I would still read fics of them.
