Genre: Fluff
Summary: Donghae seeks the comfort that he can get only from the warmth of Eunhyuk's embrace.
Eunhyuk didn't have to open his eyes to confirm the identity of the person slipping next to him on his bed.
"Hae-ah," Eunhyuk mumbled sleepily. "What time is it now?"
"It's 3 am," Donghae whispered back, nestling his head against Eunhyuk's chest.
Eunhyuk slipped his hands around Donghae's waist and brought him closer. The younger boy took comfort in their proximity and buried his nose in Eunhyuk's hair. Breathing in and out slowly and softly, he closed his eyes.
"I had a nightmare," Donghae revealed sadly. "It was about you."
One of Eunhyuk's hands moved from Donghae's waist to his hair and started to stroke the soft brown locks soothingly. "Tell me more, Hae."
"In my dream," Donghae managed to choke out after a while. "In my dream, you disappeared. Just like that."
"Just like that?" Eunhyuk echoed. Donghae nodded, his face still buried in Eunhyuk's hair.
"I tried calling your phone, I left you countless text messages, I even drove all the way to your house in your hometown but..." Donghae trailed off uneasily.
"But?" Eunhyuk prompted gently.
"Your parents told me that Lee Hyukjae didn't live there. That no such person even existed. And then- and then Leeteuk-hyung called me and demanded to know where I was. I told him that I was looking for Lee Hyukjae. There was a pause before he said in a strange voice that he didn't know who I was talking about." Eunhyuk could feel Donghae's tears dampening his scalp, but he remained silent.
"I panicked and hung up straight away. I ran to my car and locked myself inside. I really couldn't understand what was going on. I looked through my phone and found traces of your existence; the photos you took with me, the countless text messages you sent me... It was as if everyone had forgotten about your existence except for me."
Donghae's hand fumbled shakily as it searched for Eunhyuk's warm palm. Immediately, Eunhyuk removed his hand from Donghae's hair and closed it over the latter's hand, hoping that for now, the warmth was enough to placate him.
Donghae pulled away from Eunhyuk's hair and stared at him with pleading, watery eyes.
"Hyukkie, please," Donghae begged. "Say something."
Eunhyuk's heart fell at the sight. His grip around Donghae's waist tightened and he shifted closer.
"What am I supposed to say, Hae?" Eunhyuk questioned quietly.
"That it was all just a dream," Donghae burst out. "That you exist. That you'll always be there for me. That you'll never leave me alone like that."
Eunhyuk brushed Donghae's fringe away from his forehead. He leaned in and planted a light peck on Donghae's temple.
"You don't need to worry, Hae," Eunhyuk whispered calmly. "I'll always be there for you, and I'll never leave you alone like that. You should know that by now, right?"
Donghae smiled tremulously. He wiped his nose and laughed shakily. "S-silly me, worrying about something like this."
Donghae rested his head against Eunhyuk's chest once again, listening to his steady heartbeat as if he needed further reassurance that Eunhyuk was indeed living, breathing next to him.
Eunhyuk stroked Donghae's cheek softly before repeating, "I'll always be there for you."
"I know," came Donghae's muffled voice.
"I love you, Lee Hyukjae." It was soft, but Eunhyuk heard it nonetheless. Smiling slightly, Eunhyuk could feel his eyelids gradually shutting.
"I love you too, Lee Donghae."
Only the sounds of their breathing permeated the room as Donghae once again, found comfort in Eunhyuk's embrace.

A/N: So I forgot to save this first time and lost almost everything. *flips a table*
I've never written a fic this short before but I really wanted to write some EunHae! Seriously, watching 'It's Okay, Daddy's Girl' makes me all emotional, even I don't understand why. ;A;
Uhm, still, HaeHyuk all the way people!
