Chapter 2 "So how was it?" Ryeowook smiled warmly at Sungmin.
Ryeowook had dragged Sungmin to his room when he came back from the coffee joint with Kyuhyun. Sungmin was initially reluctant to move, as it meant that Yesung would no longer be resting on his lap. But he was simply too eager to share his successful bonding moment with Ryeowook.
Looking up from the pillow he was clutching, Sungmin blushed. "It was...nice."
Ryeowook raised an eyebrow. He shifted closer to Sungmin and nudged him teasingly. "Is that all you can say?" He let out a yelp when the elder playfully swatted him in the stomach with his pillow.
"Yeah, yeah," Sungmin rolled his eyes. "All we did was watch a movie together."
"But the two of you looked pretty comfortable there," Ryeowook commented cheekily. "It was a shame to pull you two apart, really."
"Yah!" Sungmin protested. "Stop teasing me already!"
-
Yesung had slowly sat up in a daze when Ryeowook's high-pitched voice woke both him and Sungmin up. As Sungmin and Ryeowook disappeared into the room, Yesung felt a little sad. He really missed Sungmin's warmth. He barely noticed Kyuhyun slipping next to him on the couch or the concerned looks that Kyuhyun was giving him.
"Hyung," Kyuhyun's deep voice interrupted Yesung's reverie. "Are you feeling better now?" Kyuhyun reached out to feel Yesung's forehead. His facial expression relaxed when he didn't detect a worrisome temperature.
Yesung waved his hands dismissively. "I'm fine, I'm fine. That late-night shower got to me, that's all." Kyuhyun rubbed Yesung's back soothingly as the elder burst into yet another fit of hacking coughs.
"Thinking about Sungmin-hyung having weird dreams involving you really messed you up, huh?" The tone in Kyuhyun's voice was of concern, but there was no mistaking the familiar smirk the maknae was wearing.
"That and the part where he tried to frustrate me with a popsicle," Yesung mumbled. "I think I spent almost an hour in the shower."
Kyuhyun laughed. "But that worked out to your advantage in the end, didn't it?"
Yesung unconsciously broke out into a smile. Wrapping the blanket around his body, he nodded. "I guess it did."
-
The next day, Yesung was back to his healthy self. He greeted everyone at the dining table cheerfully.
"Hyung!" Upon hearing Yesung's voice, Ryeowook briefly shifted his attention away from the French toast. "Are you feeling much better now?"
"Yeah. Thanks for your concern, Ryeowook," Yesung smiled gratefully.
Yesung pulled a chair next to Kyuhyun and sat down. Kyuhyun was busy playing his PSP, moving it repeatedly as if his actions could affect his performance.
"Morning, hyung," Kyuhyun greeted, his eyes still focused on the small screen. Yesung laughed amiably and gave Kyuhyun a light slap on the back.
Eunhyuk's head was resting on the table, its owner still unconscious. Eunhyuk, Donghae and Siwon had gotten carried away last night. What started out as Eunhyuk teaching Siwon new dances moves turned into a mini rave in Donghae's room. They carried on till midnight; that was when Leeteuk burst open the door and Heechul threatened to unleash Heebum onto them.
("Some people need their beauty sleep," Heechul said. He stood in front of the rest of the disgruntled dorm members, his arms akimbo and his eye mask pulled halfway over his face.
"Lighten up, hyung!" Donghae grinned happily. "Come and join us instead!"
Leeteuk pursed his lips, disapproval written all over his face. "You know that I can't sleep, Hae, if you three continue to party here."
Kangin cracked his knuckles. "Listen to Teukie-hyung, guys."
"Or what?" Eunhyuk teased, still moving his body to the beat of the music.
"Or, I won't be cooking for the Family day tomorrow," Han Geng intoned.
Everyone else let out a collective gasp. They turned to the lanky man, who had a completely serious look on his face.
Shindong stepped forward. "You better end it now, guys."
Facing potential manhandling from Kangin and Shindong was scary but the prospect of Han Geng not cooking tomorrow was absolutely terrifying. Siwon ran to the stereo and switched if off immediately.)
Looking around at his surroundings listlessly, Yesung soon got bored sitting at the table. Eunhyuk hadn't moved an inch and Kyuhyun was intent on completing the mission in record time. Finally, Yesung noticed the absent member.
"Where's Sungmin, Kyuhyun-ah?" Yesung asked, pulling on Kyuhyun's shirt sleeve.
"In the bathroom, probably. I don't know," Kyuhyun replied carelessly.
Yesung stood up and headed towards the bathroom. Just as he was about to reach out for the doorknob, the door opened. Sungmin appeared, looking fresh and cute as usual.
Yesung made to step to the left to let Sungmin pass through. At the same time, Sungmin stepped to his right. Yesung tried again, moving to the right but Sungmin also shifted to his left. This sideways tango continued until they both gave up and burst into laughter. Sungmin bowled over in laughter, holding his aching sides while Yesung chuckled good-naturedly. Yesung's laughter soon subsided but Sungmin carried on laughing, his laughter growing even stronger by the second.
Sungmin unconsciously leaned onto Yesung’s chest, clutching his shirt as he continued to giggle uncontrollably. Yesung was hardly unfazed. He supported Sungmin by wrapping his arms around Sungmin's shoulders to steady the giddy man.
Sungmin stopped laughing abruptly when he felt a pair of strong hands encircle his waist. Looking up tentatively, he let out a muffled squeak when he saw Yesung's eyes boring intensely in his own.
"Min," Yesung started in his low voice. "Thank you for yesterday. I really appreciated it."
Sungmin immediately broke out into a grin as he recollected the memory. "It was nothing, hyung."
Then, Yesung pulled him closer. Sungmin's thoughts became scrambled. He could feel his cheeks turning red and his heart started to beat at a frenzied pace. Oh my oh my oh my oh-
Yesung withdrew a hand from Sungmin's waist and brushed his fringe away. Leaning forward, Yesung briefly grazed his lips over Sungmin's temple. Sungmin was in an internal fit; he could only smile sheepishly when Yesung broke away and gave him a gentle smile.
Yesung removed his other hand from Sungmin's waist and casually walked past him, heading into the toilet and locking the door with a click of the doorknob. Sungmin stood motionless for a while before slumping against the bathroom door. Shakily bringing a hand to his forehead, he touched the spot where Yesung's lips were. He let out a contented sigh.
Things were going better than expected.
-
From behind the bathroom door, Yesung stared silently at his reflection at the bathroom mirror. His indifferent expression slowly transformed into an exuberant one when he felt his lips.

Kibum lived away from the SJ dorms, as his busy filming schedule required him to move from place to place constantly. Heechul used to live with him, but he moved back to the upper storey dormitory.
("Your cooking sucks," Heechul grumbled.
Kibum looked up from his bowl of jajangmyeon. "Hyung," Kibum began humourlessly. "I order take-out for us. That's not considered cooking."
"Whatever." Heechul slammed his chopsticks back into his bulgogi bowl. "I miss Hannie's cooking!")
Kibum always made time to visit his fellow members and today’s ‘Eat Together as a Family’ day was no exception. Swiping his keys from the dresser, he stopped to check himself in the mirror. His ring tone started to play, interrupting his primping and he hastily reached to pick it up.
“Hello?”
“Kibum, it’s me, Yesung-hyung,” Yesung’s voice answered on the other end.
“What’s up, hyung?” Kibum asked casually as he adjusted his collar in the mirror.
“Could you help me buy some coffee on your way here?” Yesung pleaded. “Leeteuk-hyung found out that I didn’t inform him that I was sick yesterday and he almost went ballistic. Now, he’s banned me from going out.”
“Hyung, that’s your own problem, not mine,” Kibum said flatly.
“But Kibummm,” Yesung whined.
“...Text me the type of coffee you want,” Kibum said.
“Thanks, Kibum!”
-
Donghae welcomed Kibum at the front door energetically. “Bummie! You’re here.”
“Of course,” Kibum replied as he stepped into the dormitory. “I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
As Kibum stepped into the dorm, he immediately headed to the kitchen to relieve himself of the huge box of doughnuts that he had gotten as an afterthought when he bought Yesung's coffee. Han Geng and Ryeowook were bustling about in the kitchen, stirring pots and supervising frying pans. Kibum decided to make himself scarce as he didn't want to be in their way, and went to look for Yesung.
Yesung was alone in the hallway, leaning lazily against a wall. He was probably under Leeteuk’s orders so that he wouldn't contaminate the food or mess it up. His eyes perked up when he saw Kibum and the cup of coffee in his hands.
“Hyung,” Kibum handed Yesung the polystyrene cup. “Here’s your coffee. Mocha macchiato.”
“Great! Thanks, Kibum-ah!” He took the cup carefully. Taking off the cover, Yesung inhaled the aroma blissfully.
Kibum shrugged and headed towards the living room to put down his bag. Then, he remembered the box of doughnuts and went to approach Yesung again to inform him of the doughnuts. However, Kibum saw Sungmin talking to him and stopped at a corner, waiting for their conversation to end. He couldn't help but eavesdrop on the pair.
“Yesung-hyung,” Sungmin looked at the coffee cup worriedly. “Are you sure you should drink coffee now? You were coughing just yesterday.”
Yesung stared at his coffee cup for a while before taking another sip. “It’s okay, I can take it.”
Sungmin bit his lip as he watched Yesung drink the coffee. His eyes lingered on the elder's lips and he stifled a moan when Yesung licked his own lips in satisfaction. Sungmin also surpressed the urge to jump on Yesung. He would have, but the coffee cup was in the way, and well, they were in plain sight of the others in the living room. Sungmin wasn't that desperate...He thinks.
“Mind if I try a sip?” Sungmin asked timidly. He had always wondered why Yesung was so addicted to coffee. And it was always a good thing to learn more about the subject of one's mission, right?
Yesung's eyes widened slightly. “Why not? Here.” He gave the coffee cup to Sungmin, who surveyed the dark brown liquid inside of it before sipping tentatively.
“Ahhhh!” Sungmin stuck out his tongue. “I fink I burnd mah tongue!”
“Aigoo.” Yesung shook his head. He pulled out a piece of tissue from his jeans pocket and dabbed at Sungmin’s mouth gently. “Be careful next time, alright?”
Looking down in embarrassment, Sungmin nodded slowly. “I'm sowie, hyun...”
Yesung chuckled. “You’re too cute sometimes, Minnie, you know that?”
Playing up to Yesung's compliment, Sungmin looked up and puffed out his cheeks, which made Yesung laugh even more. He pinched the younger’s cheeks, causing him to cry out, “Hyun, no tuu har!”
Kibum could only stare, dumbfounded. It wasn’t Yesung’s tender actions that surprised him; it was the fact that Yesung actually shared his precious coffee with someone else! Yesung was as protective over his coffee as Eunhyuk was over his computer whenever Donghae asked for permission to use it.
Kibum chewed on the inside of his cheek. Something's definitely up.

A/N: This is probably the last fluff chapter before this fic goes to the point of no return, I mean, begins to live up to its name. Idk.
And I should stop being such a troll. OTL I only managed to finish this chapter because I couldn't sleep. And well, tbh, this chapter sucks. Might as well get it out of the way and post it early. Lol, I'm going to be busy (for real ._____.) with community work next week so if you see me update this fic.....May Kkoming attack me or something. ;_____;
