Jun fell in love when he accidentally bumped into him. It was a one time chance and he knew he was never going to see that man. Taking a step backwards, he turned his body around and caught up with him though he stayed as far as he can. From a distance, he can see him give a sun shining smile to a little boy that had fallen and hurt himself. To Jun, he was like an angel after seeing the boy smile because of him. Jun knew he just had to know him. Putting himself together, he walked up to the man.
“Hi, I’m Matsumoto Jun,” he shot out his hand, “Nice to meet you.”
“Woah!” The man exclaimed, “What’s an idol coming here saying hi to me?!”
Jun chuckled, “I’m not an idol. I’m pretty much normal since I last checked.”
“Well, Mr.Normal,” his eyebrows were going up and down, “I’m Aiba Masaki. It’s nice to meet you too.”
“Uhm... (oh gosh) I’m just going to be straight out ok? If you don’t mind...”
“Shoot me.”
Taking a huge breath, Jun bowed his body until he looked like a 90 degree angle. After letting his breath out, he asked with high hopes, “Will you please go out with me?”
“I thought you’d never ask,” Aiba giggled, “I’d love to.”
After that day, the two eventually stuck together like glue. He was happy when the third month of their relationship, he asked Aiba to move in with him and he received a ‘yes’ as an answer. The next day, Aiba’s stuff were already in his apartment just because they were getting impatient. That following night, things got unexpectedly crazy. The next morning, they woke up next to each other smiling and their naked bodies intertwined.
Jun was the first to get out of bed. After cleaning up ,he left Aiba to shower while he made a 2 cups of coffee. While he was at it, he even made breakfast that he was sure Aiba was going to fall in love with more than him. But if he were to fall in love with it, he would have no choice but to take it away and eat it for himself. When he placed the last of the bacon on his boyfriend’s plate, a loud thud sounded from above him.
Jun panicked. Just above him was the bathroom and his boyfriend was still there. Worried sick, he ran up to his boyfriend only to see a wet and naked body on the ground.
“Masaki!” Jun yelled as he rushed to his boyfriend and shook him by the shoulders. “Masaki! what happened?! Masaki, please! Wake up!”
His boyfriend’s eyes only moved, but it didn’t open. Neither did he respond. Worried that his condition might get worse, he called for the ambulance and they came in no time.
For hours Jun waited for the doctor to come out of the emergency room with good news. He paced outside the emergency room, hoping that Aiba was doing fine behind those white doors. When he was about to hit the opposite wall, the doors opened and Jun stopped immediately. He couldn’t tell if it was good new or bad news because the doctor had a straight face on. Right when he was about to ask, the doctor told him
“He’s fine. Just a small concussion. Otherwise, you can see him after we transport him to a new room.”
Jun sighed in relief but he could feel that his eyes were starting to water. For the past three months and a half, Aiba was his life and he couldn’t stand losing him just because of that accident. It would have been worse if he wasn’t home to save him.lt took them 10 minutes to transfer him and when he was called, he ran to the room. There he was, lying peacefully on the bed.
“Masaki,” Jun whispered his name and said man looked. “They told me you were fine, and I can take you home in a few weeks.”
“Thank God,” Aiba’s voice croaked through the valve mask and Jun felt happy just hearing his voice.
Like how three months passed by, Jun patiently waited for those weeks to come. Every night, he would visit him and feed him when he was worried something might happen again. He never stopped doing what he was doing just to show how much he loved him. And when finally those few weeks passed by and Jun took his boyfriend home.
It was very late at night when they arrived to the house they shared. It’s been quiet the passed few days since Aiba had been hospitalized, and finally, the noise came back as soon as he turned the lights on. As if nothing ever happened, the two chatted that night about anything that was fun talking about. Jun wanted to make love to him, but he was just starting to recover so he just cuddled with him and went to sleep. The following day, he woke up to a crying Aiba and worry washed over him.
“What’s wrong, baby?” Jun whispered as he wiped the tear drops on his cheeks.
“It’s...nothing...just remembering the past...”
Jun comforted him and told him to sleep in his arms. When the man finally had gone silent, he went back to sleep as well. Time ticked by and Jun woke up. His boyfriend wasn’t in his arms anymore but instead there was a yellow note in place of him. Aiba might just be teasing him. Taking the note with a smile, he read it thoroughly until he stopped in the end. His smile had vanished along with his soul.
‘I’m sorry I had to leave. I didn’t want them to tell the truth, but I have a tumor and I don’t think I can stay with you to see you hurt. Take care and I’ll always love you.
