I kind of like the new one. It does more of the HTML work for you.

It fucks up HTML, you have to scroll forever to get to the tags and such at the bottom of long posts... ARGH.

Hmmm, the scrolling thing can be annoying, that's true, but I haven't experienced any HTML fuck-ups personally. And it's nice to not have to code things by hand like lj-cuts, font changes, and outside links (without having to switch to a rich text editor)

I code by hand because over the years, LJ has fucked up its rich text editing in different and ever-changing ways, and by hand is the only way to ensure everything works.

I forced myself to get used to using it with this journal when I switched 'cause I knew it would be coming, and I still hate it because ugh it's so laggy and stupid and such a waste of space.

Yeah. I'm pissed. And things like this normally don't get to me (I cling to the 'big picture' idea of life, which is what gets me through when things get shitty), but I had been using the old LJ format for ten years, and it's all wrapped up in nostalgia for me, and I am very, very, very pissed that I no longer have that option anymore.
