Bringing a wife in (lol how did they even get married without ID and with his face all over the news killing people) and then just completely dropping her, for one. Leaving Cas without a (filmed) word and heading off to a MOTW episode for another. The mechanics of transferring Sam's trauma to Cas doesn't make any sense - Cas doesn't have a soul, plus it's not like a disease or something, it's damage to Sam's soul. Plus, cutting out a line in the promo that Cas fans like me loved hearing. It felt unpolished. Maybe I'm just asking too much.
You summed up my feelings perfectly, bb. I was on board with the episode (aside from the wife thing... I can't decide if that was just a bad plot device or an attempt to troll the fans gone wrong) until the ending. I'm glad Sam's better but so. many. plotholes. I honestly think this episode would have been better as a two-parter, then they could have given both Sam's storyline and things with Dean and Cas more attention, and the end might have felt a bit less squeezed in.
Them just leaving him without a word in Meg's care kind of lessens the awesome of all the bonding in the other parts of the episode. Guys, didn't we learn our lesson about working with demons last season? That's half the reasons everything went to hell in the first place. Too much focusing on irrelevant crap and leaving out scenes that should be included for plot and character development this season. Ugh

*hug back* I think they could have cut more out from the beginning to wrap things up better.
