MPG - normal driving

May 08, 2008 15:57

This time I decided not to hyper-mile my car and see what kind of results I got.
I wasn't driving like a maniac.. this is my "normal" driving habits.

Totals:
318.5mi
10.973gal fill-up
$4.239/gal (Premium)
Operating Cost - $0.15/mi

29.03mpg

Obviously a bit less than when I was trying to conserve fuel:

Hypermile Totals:357.5mi ( Read more... )

I'm not sure what kind of car you have soo.... XD;;; But that sounds pretty good! Mine is around 25 mpg combined. I think the EPA does their tests at always being on the gas pedal though, when you can probably coast most of the time. My car is at "18 city 27hwy"... but OMG I need to get the junk out of my car. The back seat and trunk is full of my stuff from moving... probably wasting my money! *waves fist* Time to go to Goodwill this weekend :D

Acura RSX Type-S (sport model)
I actually don't typically coast all the time.. I use the engine to help slow me down.

Haha yeah well extra weight in the car will subtract from your MPG.
