Okay so the low fuel lamp came on.. I refueled the car.

Totals:
357.5mi
11.335gal fill-up

31.54mpgThat's a heck of a lot less impressive than I was hoping for.. and it took a lot of work to squeeze that extra 1.5mpg out.. In total I went approximately an extra 17 (rounded) miles on this tank than a "typical" tank. That means about an extra one- ( Read more... )

Yo man. Been following your updates and although I might have missed out on what you were trying to accomplish, better mileage and distance on a tank is always a good thing.

I don't know if you're into using additives or anything performance-enhancing but my brother came across some nifty stuff that I think, gave him about a 15-20% bonus to the distance he could travel on a tank. I'd definitely have to go grab his bottle and talk to him to tell you more though. Just thought I'd throw the idea out there.

No I was just trying to use driving techniques to increase mileage. I think I could do a little better than this (36mpg like I listed on my previous post).. but not a whole lot.

Ahh that's pretty cool. You'd think most people aren't as efficient with driving as they should be but then again, do they know any difference? To be that far above the listed MPG is wonderful :)
