Iphigenia is sitting in the common room, eating some sweets and flipping through magazines. She's pretty pleased with herself--it's her birthday today, and to know that she's survived another year without, you know, getting her throat slit, is reason to celebrate, in her opinion

Titus is passing through with a mug of warm cider and a slice of something called pumpkin pie which he found in the kitchen. And that's when he spies Iphi.

"Iphigenia..." he says, coming to her side and perching himself on a chair. "It has been some time..."

He can't really help the warm feelings she's causing in his heart and... other places in his person.

She looks up. "Titus! How nice to see you!"

"Iphigenia, it's been too long since we last met," he says, beaming. "How have you been?"

She grins back. "Good! I've been reading, and doing all sorts of things! Today's my birthday."

Was thinking of sending this one if that's okay, and let me know who else you'd like here? And can has Iphi on Gwen's post? (I was thinking we might consider their past alternate RP canon from Estates as a mutually remembered dream, maybe? This does not include Hanschen)

Muraki is just passing through the main room, on his way to meeting with his student, when he spots Iphigenia. He pauses, approaching her, smiling. "You seem in high spirits, Iphigenia. Is today an auspicious day?" he asks.

She looks up, grinning. "It's my birthday!" she chirps.

"Then birthday greetings are in order," he says, finding a small padded footstool and perching himself on it before reaching into his breast pocket and taking out something small, wrapped in a black silk handkerchief embroidered with a triple moon design in red. "I'm afraid that I don't have a gift, but if you like, I could cast a divination for you. Are you familiar at all with the tarot?"

She shakes her head. "No, what is it?"

These two have never met, but they perhaps should, if only for the sake of new female friendships.

Scheherazade wanders in, a bit thoughtful, but not in a bad mood.

She's good at repressing those.

Iphigenia looks up, seeing the strange woman. She smiles and waves. "Hello!" she says brightly.

Probably not that strange - oriental garb isn't far off from Greek robes, in some ways.

"Hello," Scheherazade replies, friendly enough. "-- do I know you?"

[ohmaiden]

"--I don't think so? I'm Iphigenia," she replies easily.

Aaand here's Steerpike, who wanders in, spots Iphigenia, manages to restrain a smile, and inclines his head, a touch too formally.

"My lady."

[ohmaiden]

She jumps up, walking over to him, and reaches to kiss him on the cheek. "Steerpike! How are you?"

Steerpike has the good grace to allow the kissing, though he seems a bit embarrassed. "I'm well," he replies, and truly he is - since things have been more egalitarian with Muraki, he's felt better about lots of things. "And yourself, Lady Iphigenia?"

"Oh! Today's my birthday and I feel wonderful!"
