We had a very nice Sunday dinner - about 15 people. I was a little surprised when my parents walked in with my ex-father-in-law. They go to the same church and they had invited him over for dinner. I know how you feel about relationships with family of ex. You have to respond to how they treat you and your children. My first husband left when the kids were really small and never came back to visit. However, his mother who lived in Tennessee, was always welcome to come visit her grandchildren. She did about once every other year until they were teens. She was always good to me. She was pure country, poor, uneducated, but good at heart. She worked in hosiery mill and kept the kids in sox on their birthdays. I know she felt bad that her son abandoned his family as his father had abandoned him. I still sent flowers when she died after I was remarried.

It is too bad you couldn't go play mini golf. I love playing, especially when I was living in Florida. They had the best place close to Walt Disney World. I'm working towards regular golf, so far so good. However, I need some serious lessons.

My husband and I are hoping to buy a house soon. We kind of want a fixer upper. Not to much though, we don't want to be weekend warriors for the rest of our days. I love walking through open houses and getting an idea of how I would decorate it.
