how sweet that Jack finally gets to be domestic on his own. fast cars, giant tv. all a man could hope for. and a choice of partners.

Yes. Peace at last for Jack. There might be more happiness in my fics if I didn't find it so difficult to write.

It is so good to see those people involved getting their just desserts and finally Jack is begining to get some much needed normacly and freedom.

Happiness and domesticity! Not my usual writing. How will I cope.

And apologies if the next couple of chapters are slower. I've had a busy couple of weeks.

It's so good to see everyone who had a part in Jack's horrific treatment finally getting what they deserve, but it's too bad there wasn't a way to keep UNIT from covering their tracks at the rest of the prisons.

Jack being able to leave Torchwood and get a place of his own where he's free to do as he pleases is wonderful. It was nice to see that he and Ianto are getting along, too, though it was obvious the situation is still painful for Ianto. It's only natural that he would be a bit relieved by Jack not moving in with Tosh, as much as he understands and accepts their relationship.

I love that you have Jack looking forward to cooking again and being an expert at it. It always seems ridiculous to me when someone writes that Jack can't cook because of his years with Torchwood, or that he can't be trusted not to set the kitchen on fire. The man's been around a very long time and he's far from stupid.

UNIT haven't completely covered themselves as the prisoners will be only too eager to talk.

I hope that Jack's normal life doesn't make the story too boring.

I'm not sure it would even be possible to make a story involving Jack boring. Just by definition, being Jack pretty much means there's always something going on.

Good to see Jack leaving the security of the Hub for the outside world.

Love this chapter! Jack finally being able to leave the Hub and live normally after the horrors he's been thru gives great promise for his recovery. You gotta make that a great fast car; he deserves nothing less :D I'm really excited over his choice of career; it was a surprise because it was the last thing I expected but this is Jack. I don't doubt he'd be expert at it and very creative in the kitchen!

Thank you.

He wanted normality and working in a restaurant is very normal. It would have been fun for him to be a taxi driver though.
