I really enjoyed the storytelling here, and the tying up of loose ends with regards to why they left Jack behind and never returned. :(

Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I think the ending was somewhat happier than implied in my author's notes. For Jack at least, though not for the baby and the Doctor.

I totally love this! I read it and realized that yeah the Doctor went off into the sunset after Satellite 5. Now he could have told Rose anything because she was unconscious when they left poor Jack. But still they had a huge party in the very next episode. Shame on the Doctor. Shame! Shame! Brilliant story! I've read all of your other stories on Fanfiction.net and this is another gem.

Thank you. I am indeed twisted.

As you can gather I was totally outraged by that episode 'The Christmas Invasion!. After waiting months for the new season, I expected them to at least mention Jack, as it was set immediately after they abandoned him. I couldn't believe it when they didn't and then the party was the last straw!

So Jack finally got his final revenge! Now the Doctor knows what it's like to be left alone. And it's good to know that being with Jack has changed Master for better, seems that Jack's influence on him keeps getting stronger. Ok, even if they stole some things-but given everything Jack has gone through that can be forgiven-they they didn’t hurt anyone and apparently Master isn't thinking much about dominating planets any more. And Jack still came to save Martha, even if he didn't know her, which just proves that he remained a good person, despite everything he'd gone through ( ... )

Yes!

I can just see Jack and the Master travelling together in the TARDIS indefinitely. Possibly with Martha for a while.

Yes it was the 11th Doctor on Malcassairo. Since Jack killed the 10th Doctor he was number 11 before he ever met and started travelling with Martha.

It is not clear cut whether the Doctor would ever have gone back. I think he's trying to convince himself.

Thank you. And thanks for commenting.

I just cried for poor Jack. And the fact that in every timeline he never came back for him just broke my heart. I glad the Jack was a calming influence on the Master. You made me love the master in this one!

Thank you.

I'm glad I was able to promote emotions in you. I do aim for that when I write.

I thought it was time I had a different type of Master from the one's I'd written before.
