Yay for short, dumpy, middle-aged females who speak truth to power and can also empower clients to face their truths. Go, Charlotte!!!

Yay Charlotte. I hope I can do justice to the therapy parts of the story.

I LOVE you for updating so fast, and with such a great chapter too! I'm glad Ianto appreciates what Jack did for him in NOT telling UNIT about Lisa. Will he tell the others? And yes, I love the psychologist. I can't wait to see the first session. And for Jack to tell them about the EMP device. I mean, they were all there when the other prisoners decided to beat Jack unconscious, and that was when the device was destroyed, right? So that is one more thing to make them feel guilty. If they had stopped the other prisoners, they would have found out about the EMP then, and all the rest would not have happened. I really love this story, reading a new chapter automatically becomes the best part of my day, and if its been a bad day, having a new chapter makes it a little better. As the Doctor would say, you are FANTASTIC!

Thank you! I wanted to get going while work is slow.

I think the first session will be not too traumatic for Jack, more of a get comfortable with the therapist session.

You are reading my mind again. I have actually written a scene when they discuss what happened to the EMP device. I moved it into the next chapter though. And I don't think they were all there. I remember when I wrote it making sure that Tosh was not there. The team could have split up when they got out of their cells. Ianto was there but he was the only one Jack saw. (I'm going back to reread that section again - just to check!).

I have to agree with that last post. This story just keeps taking one turn after another toward the light, and it gives us hope that the changes Jack gave his life for over and over again will be set right, finally. Go, Charlotte! and good going Tosh! Ianto owes Jack big time, too. Now he knows that, in spades. I'm sure he will earn his own forgiveness, but not too soon, please. Help Jack first!

It will take time for Jack to totally forgive Ianto. In the meantime he will start his therapy, and have Tosh for comfort.

I think the others should all take her up on her offer of therapy. I doubt she'll be letting any of them off easy for their part in what happened to Jack, but hopefully she can help them deal with the guilt.

Ianto had to have been totally blindsided by the fact that Jack fought so hard to protect him from UNIT. I hope he shares what he found out with the others. They all have a lot to be thankful to him for and a lot to make up to him.

If only Gwen would have let him get off the ship. Oh, well.

They may well do so. They all need it really. I was uncertain if it would be ethical for her to give therapy to several people who were interconnected, like the team. But I guess as long as she keeps what each person tells her to herself that would be OK.

Poor Ianto, he just keeps on getting piled high with guilt.

Yes, Gwen unknowingly did what was essentially the cruelest thing she could have done.

Jack protecting Ianto from unit despite Ianto's contempt breaks my heart. I want to smack tha all 'so beating heart of torchwood' up the side her head. I glad that Jack and Tosh are able to find some comfort in each other, although I wish it was Ianto doing the comforting.

Jack needs time to fully forgive Ianto, before they can reconcile.
