it's so weird how we both had misperceptions about each others pasts. i thought for sure you were the over-achiever in highschool and but it was me all along.

i like "it's official i've forgotten how to write" better as an opener than a closer.

i throughly enjoyed your piece, but specifically if i had to choose one line out of the many i would chose the following- "My failure is only worth mentioning because it marks how greatly I deviated from the path I began to pave during my years as a precocious pre-schooler."

good job.

sincerely,
rivka

i don't think i know how to take the comment about the opener vs. closer because that line isn't a part of the piece, actually, & i just added it as an afterthought because i feel like this must be disgustingly boring to read.
so i'm glad you "throughly" enjoyed it & it wasn't disgustingly boring.

the famous saying everyone throws around in grade school is that he got f's in math.

i'm ammending that comment. it wasn't just thrown around in grade school. both math & science teachers in middle & high school brought it up & there was an episode of tiny tunes about it. so even if it's not actually true, it was a part of my way of justifying my f's.
