There's no point wasting time on people like that.

I cried during Avatar too. However, I don't know if I agree about the 3D aspect. Of course, Avatar was made for 3D and absolutely sucked dick in 2D, but with movies that were only formatted to get a higher gross (Clash of the Titans) suck. One scene in that movie was in 3D. Of the five 3D movies I've seen, I've only enjoyed half of them in that format. How To Train Your Dragon was definitely up there with Avatar, but the other three sucked balls and had no reason to be in 3D. Honestly though, I really hope 3D doesn't become an awful trend where every movie is in that format because again, it's really a hit and miss.

Because I've only seen two movies in 3D, that didn't deserve to be in 3D in the first place, I have a very negative view on the matter. (also, because it makes you pay extra money, and I'd rather go to the local theater that is only $5 a ticket which obviously can't afford to install the 3D technology).

but when i was watching Avatar, Dan kept going "this looked awesome in 3d" "oh my god this is nothing compared to being in 3d". i just don't like people shoving technology down my throat. and i agree-- i hope it doesn't become a popularized trend. i feel like ultimately it's a waste of time because most films don't take the time to actually incorporate enough 3D effects.

I just think the point of 3D is to have it enhance the movie and/or to have things jump out at you. I liked A Christmas Carol for that, because there was epic chase scenes and things popping out at you constantly. How To Train Your Dragon also used the technology well. On the other hand, Alice In Wonderland was very useless in 3D.

I do understand about the technology. Honestly, it's not anything new. Our theatre only has three theatres with 3D compatibility (Two on normal, one on VIP) so if all these movies keep coming out, there is going to be no way to keep up with demand. Not to mention that "bawww movies are expensive" already. Harry Potter is going to be in 3D which in my opinion is going to suck major balls. Just stick to 'kids' movies like Toy Story and Shrek.
