Millie hadn't slept well last night with Logan gone, not to mention all the things she'd been thinking about since her conversation yesterday with Meg. All in all she was feeling fairly off balance, so she was out sitting barefoot on the grass by the duck pond just trying to find her center again.

The door of the TARDIS opened, and the Master stepped out, fixing his tie. He yawned. "Good morning."

Millie looked a bit startled. "Hello," she said politely.

"Rather nice out today, isn't it?"

[ohgoddess]

She looked up at him and smiled. "I find most days quite nice regardless of weather, so, yes."

[dadada_da]

"Oh do you know? That's a nice positive attitude to have, that is."

[ohgoddess]

She smiled. "I do try to be cheerful," she said. "I have so much."

"So much cheer?"

[ohgoddess]

"So much good in my life."

[dadada_da]

"Well, that's lovely. Fancy a cup of tea?"

[ohgoddess]

"I think tea would be quite nice," she said with a smile. "Thank you."

"Just a tic," The Master said. He ducked inside and came back out with a cup of tea. "I'm the Doctor."

"The Doctor?" Millie said curiously. "You take care of sick people here? I can do a bit of that if they aren't too badly hurt."

"I'm a Doctor of everything," the Master said. "I take care of everything."

Millie blinked at him. "That must be a great deal of responsibility," she said thoughtfully. "Do you find it difficult."

"Not particularly," the Master responded. "I find it fun."

[ohgoddess]

She sipped at her tea thoughtfully. "Hmmm... well, I suppose that is quite good. It would be hard if you did not enjoy what you did."
