For once, everyone but Gackt is wearing sunglasses!!!

LOL, you're right. Maybe he wants them to understand what it feels like for him 90% of the time. ;)

I need him to write an essay on how this all plays out; I can't follow this nearly as well as I want to

Same here! I've only seen snippets from both plays.

Well, that was a lot more intestine stabbing and blood arcing through the air than I expected. ^o^;

I like all the spinning around with the shaky camera. I had thought it was really interesting in the Journey Through the Decade video when they'd done the 360 spin around GACKT going above and below him rather than around. Here the camera's going around but adding the shakiness and being zoomed in tighter produces an interesting effect for me.

I bought my MP3 copy on Amazon as soon as I could. :D Love the orchestral version to bits.

Even though I'm disappointed to hear that neither You or Chacha were involved in the production of the song (no surprise there), it's still a good song, and the content of both it and the PV are fascinating. I'm starting to question whether this song takes place in the first chapter of the MOON SAGA or if rather, it takes place in the second chapter. It's supposed to be at the "very end of the story" according to GACKT in a recent OKmusic interview (http://gacktitalia.com/2015/09/20/ok-music-last-visualive-gackts-sublime-drama-begins/), but that is somewhat vague. In UV, October 2005 Gackt talked the about the sort of things that the second chapter introduces/deals with:

I: I’ve read all the lyrics of the songs for “DIABOLOS”, and the feeling of battle is very strong, similar to what was presented in the fourth chapter. G: That’s because the story as a whole takes on the history of war in all four chapters. Maybe ( ... )

I’m also trying to think about why this similar leather outfit has continually appeared throughout almost the entire MOON SAGA timeline, and in places that are a bit more nebulously related to MOON SAGA (ie. the split red outfit and black outfits for BEST OF THE BEST, complete with shoulder mask similar to the one from SDSN). There’s a lot of not-so-vaguely supernatural things happening with the character wearing the cleaner version of this outfit in the Jougen no Tsuki tour pamphlet; if this is a single character that has existed throughout time, perhaps they are both a Mononofu/Darkside Inhabitant and vampire that didn’t “seal their own memory” and “erase their form” (from a translation of the DARTS story in 2005 by gekka_no_neko on LJ) after the internal conflict within the clan, somehow. That same DARTS story also mentions that “the history of the clan appeared to be over” after they had erased themselves; so maybe it really wasn’t ( ... )

There's so much information out from the Moon Saga that I don't think I ever read :(
And it seems so scattered @_@

There really is so much! And it isn't made any easier for overseas fans because so much remains untranslated. A lot of material like the rather important tour pamphlets are only available secondhand, and some stuff like the DARTS story I referenced are completely lost (it was posted on the DARTS jewelry site, which now no longer exists).

That said, the puzzle-like aspect of it all is intentional to some degree, which I can appreciate. GACKT has also said that he cares more that people understand what the story is trying to say than the narrative itself, and I think that is relatively easy to do in spite of some of the narrative holes, and if you know anything about him and the stories he has told in the past with Le Ciel and Requiem et Reminiscence. It's all about taking non-human characters and using them as a way of reflecting on our own humanity.
