I love how this song seems to growl, and whisper...and just SOARS. Like he's off somewhere in the distance. This video has a lovely slow-motion quality to it that exaggerates the dream-like feel of the song...I want to float away with him!

(It's been the song that wakes me up every morning for MONTHS.)

And just another random thought. During the choruses, he barely moves his lips...it's kind of like he's screaming in his head, but the words are barely coming out.

Ah, Secret Garden <3 This song will always have a special meaning for me since it's the first of Gackt's songs I really fell for. I had heard some other songs before, and yes they were good, but this was the first that was great. I read the lyrics's translation and just became more in awe. Afterwards I decided to find an interview with subs with "this Gackt or whoever he is" and ended up watching the Domoto Kyoudai where he is a guest for the first time and not a regular. That is when I realized that "okay, this guy is really funny...and also kinda smart. I wanna see more". The rest is history like they say...

As a funny side note: at this time I didn't really find Gackt that handsome for some reason. Sure I saw him as not-bad-looking Japanese dude, but not anything special... I don't know how it was possible though! XD

One of my all time favorites of G <3 I just love how deep his voice is at this song and at the same time there are these incredibly soft parts. He really shows his great singing skills in this song.

I also love the PV. The atmosphere is just great and when I'm on my way home late at night, I like to walk around at the station, listening to Secret Garden until my train arrives ^^

When I first started listening to Japanese music, a friend gave me a bunch of CDs of many different artists (GACKT, X-Japan, L'Arc~en~ciel etc) and as I didn't know anything about anyone, I just mixed them all up and listened to them as one big playlist.

The first songs that jumped out at me on the playlist were Secret Garden and Lust for Blood and that's when I began to listen to GACKT more and search out the songs I hadn't been given and bought the albums.

So, although this wasn't the first GACKT song I heard (I actually have no clue what the first song was) it was the song that grabbed me and started nine long years of fangirling (and money problems).

My 'investigations' tell me that Lust for Blood is an eternal favorite introductory song for GACKT - it was my first song, and I totally fell for his voice because of it - and I have converted countless people to GACKT fans by making them hear it. :)

It's so atmospheric and his voice is just to die for. I love the songs where he sings deeper and darker so Lust for Blood, Secret Garden, Nine Spiral etc have always been some of my favourites.
