I don't actually think that Fuji TV will listen to any petition (unless it gets 100,000+ signatures or something) but it's a nice show of support for GACKT without needing to get into the details of the story.
Even if Fuji doesn't pay attention, maybe it will be mentioned in some news sources, as these nice comments did. Oh, and thanks to Yahoo news for this article. At this point I think news articles about support that G gets are good thing.
edit. forgot to add that Yahoo article has appeared at Cinema Today too
Just small correction to your post: Omiya live that Sugizo went to was May 15. Friday show was in Gunma.
I've mentioned GACKT to a couple of people over the last few days (because I was talking about being at one of his concerts), and it seems they've heard about the scandal. I'm not sure exactly what they think because they probably didn't want to offend me as a fan. But I guess it's about the same reaction anyone would have if there was a big scandal about a celebrity they didn't care much for, "Isn't he the guy who...", They don't really know the details or have strong opinions about it, but it's somewhat uncomfortable to bring him up right now.
Most non-fans know him for being weird on TV, and that reputation isn't exactly helpful at the moment.
I think it's sad that people feel uncomfortable talking about GACKT at the moment. I understand that people that aren't fans of him probably have a strange or bad image of him in my mind... but still hearing that his fans starting to feel uncomfortable, is making the whole situation even worst for me.
I just really, really hope what memorian said that this whole thing won't affect his career in the long run.
I think it's great that the media noticed the support GACKT gets from his fans. Could someone translated what is written in the article or make a little summary of it? I would like to know what it says.
Guilty until proven innocent and the reputation damage is there forever because the media only covers the scandal not the results if he is exonerated..welcome to the tabloid era in which we live!
