[09] No downloads of official releases - no albums, singles, DVDs, movies or the extras included. Example: PVs, postcards, posters etc.

Since PVs are often included in limited versions, OGYD won't allow downloads for them, no matter what source they were ripped from, anymore. Streams, however, are of course still fine, since we do want to help promote.
Hope you can understand our reasoning.

If you have questions to the rules, please do ask!

And I guess this is why my post isn't accepted yet?

Nope. Your post will be approved shortly since you are sharing a stream!

In all honesty, I think that's a bit stupid... partially. Well at least I think it's ok to share pvs, postcards, posters and all that. Afterall all that is PROMOTIONAL content, right?

Things that come with official releases are paid for. Sharing free things such as flyers etc. are fine, though. We do allow streams of PVs, but don't support downloading. :)

And (like I pointed out below) what about magazines and the likes?

[08] Scans of magazines and official GACKT releases such as CDs & DVDs. Photobooks can be shared up to 50% at most after a FOUR WEEK delay post-release date.

Magazine scans are still alright. :)

I just wanted to say that the well thought out file-sharing rules in this community are very much appreciated by me. To be honest, I was infuriated on other comms when I would see PBs and things that I had paid a lot for being downloaded and passed around.

So thanks. <3

D'aw! That's what we thought, as well. And thank you for your feedback! ♥

What about download links to PVs that were aired on a TV station? I feel like that would go more under things meant for public viewing- just as long as it's not from the official release.

I have a question about something quite important; translations.

It's probably too much to ask mods with a significant degree of Japanese to check them before letting them through, but should translations hold errors in any way, are members free to point these out and solve the problem together? Without offending anyone, of course..

I guess this would mainly be a decision that the translators themselves should make, whether they want their errors to be pointed out or not.
Otherwise, I do think that it's ok to point out those errors and try to come to a correct translation together, but as you said, it should be done without trying to offend anyone, and keeping in mind the work that those translators put into it. After all, I'm sure everyone wants to put out a correct translation lest it might cause a misunderstanding.

IDK.... not being one of the mods that are fluent in Japanese, I'm probably the wrong person to reply to your comment. X'D

This is solely my personal opinion, and I do agree with yours, but I think while it's okay to point out errors if the translator allows it, maybe the discussion should be moved somewhere else to avoid clutter? And possibly avoid further discussion with multiple people which may just make things so confusing.

Well, my guess is that most of the corrections/suggestions will probably be under the same thread, though, which will eventually be collapsed anyway.
Besides, the point of suggesting corrections are also for the members to be aware of the possible errors, so I think it defeats the purpose if the discussion is moved elsewhere, no?
