I can't believe it.  I was in shock when the office manager came in and gave me August's paycheck.  She also said she would pay me the reimbursements the firm owes me since they haven't paid me any of that since January '08.  AND I might get September's check on Friday

Fic on Palm! I do that, too, which is partially why I'm so abysmal at leaving feedback. What I do is copy/paste the fic (from the "leave a comment" page to a word document, then use Documents to Go to get it on the pda and read it. Docs to Go came bundled with my PDA on the disk, so maybe you have it, too?

I use IsiloX to convert html files but it usually follows links in the conversion process for some reason or another and LJ pages have SOOO many links on them that it either freezes or ends up w/ a 2 MB file for a 2500 word fic.
Also, I read really fast so smaller stories don't last that long (I have a long commute) and copying and pasting text from 15 LJ pages and then saving then converting is a pain in the patootie.

Ugh, yes that would be a pain. :P Why is it so hard!? We should get those little netbooks, haha.

I would kill for a netbook - especially since I end up in court for hours with nothing to do and I have to do my CLE requirements next month - that's 12 hours of sitting around listening to a lecture about nonsense. Maybe if we actually catch up on paychecks (only Sept - Nov is late, Dec isn't "due" until next week) I can see if I can get one. Maybe.
