I'm glad reactions are positive but let's face it, this is NME&Spin, they'd say Julian's album was the second coming of christ without listening to it. I hope the reviews in general will stay positive!

And HDU Spin article, the other solo projects were pretty well anticipated too, especially Albert and Little Joy. To be honest I'm so pleasantly surprised that basically all of The Strokes' solo efforts have actually been this good. It makes me proud.

There's no word on the solo dates for Phrazes yet right? Cause I'm seriously thinking of going over to London when the time comes..

I will try to stay clear from reviews altogether. Well, except for NME and Spin, they'll probably have the good ones - we know it! - and I'm interested to see what they have to say on it. Especially NME. They crack me up. But as for the rest, I'll try my best NOT to read them, because I have real issues with music reviews. Which is that I just can't handle them. I can read a review of a movie, or a book, or a fashion show, to be completely different from how I felt about it, and I'm okay. I even enjoy seeing different opinions. But when a review bashes a band/album I love, I wanna smash something. It hits me on a personal level.

all of The Strokes' solo efforts have actually been this good. It makes me proud. The very fact almost all of them HAD side-projects during the hiatus just proves AGAIN how incredibly talented and creative these guys are. No wonder they're the best band ever when put together. Other bands are lucky if they have one dude with looks, one dude with brains and the other two jackasses to fill the stage. NME is available in borders and barnes and nobles in the US, usually a week later.
