I had the occasion this very evening to try to reassure a friend up here that San Diego is indeed a nice place to go to graduate school, and that we are not all in fact bleach-blond Barbie-doll clones populating the county. And I think TJ came up somewhere in the course of the conversation, but I might have been too drunk and too Valley to clearly articulate my sentiment on the matter.
