[There is now a wee little baby scythe in Dumbledore's mailbox along with a note saying:]
"Professor Dumbledore,
I took this from my father, but I shouldn't keep it myself as it's prohibited for students to have weapons even in this size. I believe it would be the best course of action to give it to you, I only ask that you please don't let him have it again.
Considering what's happened recently, I would like to make some cakes and pies for those professors and students that are still in the hospital wing. I would like to ask for your permission first, though, as I know the house elves probably wouldn't like me to be cooking so much by myself.
Respectfully, Tiana
P.S. Thank you for your inspiring speech. I do plan to stay at Hogwarts, half because of what you said."
That is quite a lovely idea. Not to worry about the house elves; they may grumble a bit, but if they oughtn't give you any trouble. Seeing such an outpouring of support from the students after such a harrowing event has been an inspiration. It is my fervent and only wish to see you students safely into your future.
I hope that your summer has been going well, and without conflict. Even a wizard with as much responsibility as yourself deserves a proper break.
I imagine that you've already been notified that Mr. Gilbert Cocteau has left the home of his guardians without informing anybody of his location, and that many students are in a panic over his disappearance. Have the proper authorities been alerted, and if so, would you consider it appropriate to tell the students that he's being searched for?
I regret to inform you that I will be unable to attend school the first week. Certain matters involving court have arisen and though the timing is poor, I can't avoid it.
As you may or may not know, some of Castiel's remains were found in the castle dungeons a few months ago. As per his request, as well as the request of a few others, we agreed that perhaps it would lessen the weight on his soul were he to have a proper funeral service, with what little of what remains from his body to be burned and cremated. Obviously, this is a very big task, but I would be more than willing to coordinate all the details and services as necessary.
Basically, sir, I was wondering if you'd let us use the grounds for the rites and to hold a small service, since Hogwarts holds such value to him and his family. It may have to be at night, since Castiel has expressed some interest in letting certain students attend, but in the end it's all up to you.
I would be honored to provide the Hogwarts grounds to host a memorial to one of our esteemed ghosts. Mr. Castiel is very fortunate to have a friend such as you to arrange his last rights, even after such a very long time. If you need any further assistance, please, do not hesitate to contact me again.
If you would like, I will arrange some time off for our staff, so that any who wish to do so may attend the service as well.
