Love this BTVS post! From the Buffy ones I really like duotone, first episode, unusual crop (also love the text placement here), cat 2-3 and all the ac ones. From the Spike set, I love blending, ns+monochrome (wonderful light)comis, smile, all the cat ones and the composition of ac 2-4 is really, really great!
These are all gorgeous, and that's no exaggeration! Of the second set my favorites IF I had to chose are strong (great crop, wonderful light and tint at the edges and just-right placement of the text), NS+monochrome (those blue-tones are amazingly rich and varied) and blending. (One of my favorite eps in S7 to start with, and the contrast in one icon makes Spike's dilemma - and his need of Buffy's help - very stark and real; so the light pastel tints are a wonderfully iconic contrast.)
And I love all of the Buffy icons I've seen you do so far, but in this set especially at rest, first episode, from behind, confiused (I love NA to begin with, love tight unusual crops and HOW do you get such fantastic image quality?) And I also like the color wheel set but I particularly like that you used an image from Earshot for cyan that I've not seen in an icon before.
Wow, thank you so much! I've never read so much detail in the compliments before. Mostly people just say good job. lol. I am so glad your compliments are technical so I know how my designs came across. The images I got are from buffyworld.com I love whoever runs that site because they do a very good job!
You're welcome! I know I really appreciate it when I get detailed or specific feedback although I'm not always great at giving it. (And Buffy is my all-time favorite character so I'm always on the lookout for nice Buffy icons.)
I get most of my images from Leave me the White, Pretty as a Picture/Screencap Paradise, some from Broken Screencaps (now defunct) and then Buffyworld and other places. Agreed about Buffyworld - I really should take advantage of all the shooting scripts they've posted because you find the most marvelous things in them.
they do an amazing job! It's my favorite place to go for Buffy stuff. I just wish they had more comic-related stuff. lol I would love to do some spuffy comic stuff.
Yeah I try to detail my comments too but I always feel like I'm not saying enough. haha
