...in which I'm speechless.

Seriously.  Can’t talk.  Well, I'm not speechless right this minute, 'cause I'm inside.  But I was speechless earlier, when I was running errands before work.
I’m wasn't speechless because I’ve been shocked or anything.  Biology and meteorology conspired to make me speechless.

See, when you exhale, there’s moisture in your breath.  You know that.  I’ ( Read more... )

Oh, it's okay to laugh. I guess it really does look ridiculous.

I'm considering stealing your icon. But I won't without permission. We don't have any friends in common, so what could it hurt? I love it. Consider it a compliment.

You know, from the way you described that, I think my German Shepherd Heidi had the same problem this morning!

She finds it irritating as well.

Poor thing. It's still warmer than not having a beard, but yeah, it's a pain.
It's 2 degrees (real temperature) here right now, by the way. My beard froze in the time it took me to go from my front door to Katy's car, twenty feet away. It's a dangerous world out there.

It is! My daughter called to say she wheeled home from campus wrapped up like a ninja, and realized wearing her glasses was a mistake. They didn't just fog up from her breath, they froze! But she made it home in one piece.

Heidi looked so funny with the frozen chops. She and Libbie LOVE cold weather and snow, though. They had been racing around and playing, and it was only when I gave them a pig ear to chew did she realize her problem.
