This is the collaboration I mentioned a few months ago, the Rapture time-capsule video. Note the presence of luminaries AronRa, Theramin Trees, Coughlan, The Living Dinosaur, and DPR Jones. And notice also that this OgreVI person's contribution was clearly the best of the lot (well, actually, Theramin Trees was the best of the lot, but I was pretty ( Read more... )

Thanks! I feel pretty good about it. It does seem in general like the new folks did better than the established guys on this, outside of TT and The Living Dinosaur. I feel like me and Sarge and a few of the other nobodies are the ones that folks will remember after watching it.

I prefer your (and others) creative style to the talking heads. I also like that your videos are of varied topics. As much as I appreciate the AA community on YouTube, I sometimes wonder if they have thoughts on other subjects. It appears atheism can be as obsessive as theism.

It does sometimes seem like they all run off in the same direction, doesn't it?

Damn, I'm bummed that I missed this when it was happening. I'd have done something for it.

Sorry, brother. I assumed you'd seen my entry when I posted it, or I would have alerted you.

Very nice. Your part was great and I also rather liked DathiDublin.

Yeah, I think I mentioned him when I first did this, back in February, that I felt pretty good about my entry, but then I discovered there was an Irishman reading poetry, and it just isn't possible to compete with that. He and I are friends now, though. I think I wrote you how he complimented The General.
Or was that your point? Sometimes I don't know.

Sometimes I don't know my point, either. This time I had forgotten you mentioning him to me. Or at least the name didn't stick in my head. I just really liked his part of the video.

Yeah, he doesn't do very many videos, and often when he does it's just something on the news that has pissed him off and he posts it so we can all make fun of whoever he's angry at, but once in a while he does make an actual video, and it's always good work. As I said above, with this project it really felt like the nobodies outdid the established stars, and he's part of that. The triumph of the have-nots!
I liked Mac's song, too.
