I’ve mentioned in the past that I have a deep affection for Virginia Commonwealth University. Both of my parents attended school here when I was young. Your post was entirely appropriate tonight as I wondered if my only friend from VA had stakes in these games. You don't appear to be a sports enthusiast to me. Trust me on that.

However. One can not underestimate the local and regional biases we all have in sports, college and professional.

Richmod lost. Poor spiders.

VCU moves on.

I watched the final minutes of the VCU game. This was a good night in the ncaa.

thanks for the fix it option

I used to be a sports guy when I was younger, but these days I can't be bothered about anything but basketball. And since I have no TV, even basketball is generally beyond me, because I can't afford to go to the bar to watch it. But for this, I make an exception.
I wish the Spiders had won. For the glory of the city (two Richmond schools facing off for a trip to the Final Four), and also because it puts a lot of pressure on the outcome of the next game. We can't have both City schools losing to the same team within two days of each other, particularly if that school is in Kansas, of all fucking places.
But this game was a lot fun, during the bits where my heart kept beating, anyways.
