...in which I'm closing up.

Well, it’s my last night in Huntington. Moving is always a little bit sad, you know. I’m happy and excited to be moving back home, but I did love this apartment, this little cave beneath Tenth Avenue. Now, with all my stuff gone, it isn’t as lovely as it used to be. Everything is either already in Virginia or is in boxes except the clothes I’m ( Read more... )

Sorry I wasn't there for the last G session. I would have enjoyed that. I wish for new conversations in your new apartment. And Cajun/Thai food if we can save up for it. Best wishes.

You would have been most welcome, and we thought of you and talked of you.
Yes, we will have Cajun/Thai food and proper Chinese food and maybe we'll hit Kuba Kuba too. I look forward to your arrival.

Wow, I can't believe you don't live in Huntington anymore. And Sarah is probably moving there. She's sad that she just missed you. I miss your old apartment, and being really hungover on your old couch. For the past couple of years, I hardly ever wake up with the kind of regret I used to routinely wake up with, but if I do, your old apartment is still a place that I think about to remind myself that it's not the end of the world. I remember waking up and going, "Oooooooh shit," and hearing you laugh from your recliner. :)

Here's to your new life in Richmond! This is so exciting!

You and Sarah are a huge part of my memories of 1324. Thinking of the three of us crammed into that tiny place always makes me smile. I wish you had gotten to see this place, which is much nicer and which could have housed us all far more comfortably. That you didn't makes me a little bit sad to think about, but come see the new place when you're able.

Doesn't it seem odd that we've both done two moves since I joined LJ? : ). I look forward to seeing Richmond places through your posts. For me moving is a mix of reminisces and anticipation.

Looking over my life in general, what seems odd is that I've moved ONLY twice since you joined LJ. I'm still adjusting to getting old.
