...in which I'm never gonna stop the rain by complainin', so it's time I did some shopping.

It’s now about six weeks ‘til I move back to Richmond, and this paycheck I’ve got coming to me next week will be the last with any discretionary cash at all in it, really. I need most of my funds for the move, but I’ve decided to allow myself a little leeway in the matter of buying myself an umbrella. As I’ve written on here before, you can’t ( Read more... )

You are a bad person. Although, this does make me wonder whether there mightn't be a Bela Lugosi brolly out there.
Power's back on! I'm on my home computer, and I've turned on the heat (though it isn't actually warm yet)! Your elephant is bouncing especially high tonight. And thank you again for your offer of help.

Alas, as far as the Internet knows, there is no such thing as a Bela Lugosi umbrella. I find that terribly depressing.
I can totally see myself, with a Bela brolly, stalking the streets of Richmond, hunting for teeny-boppers with Cullen umbrellas, and then beating up their umbrellas with mine. "This is for your own good," I would tell them, and solemnly hand them a pirated copy of Dracula. That would be excellent!

I've had a couple of umbrella's that close with the push of a button. It's rather cool, usually seen in compacting ones.

I like the last one the best for design. After that is the blue/purple Monet, followed by the bamboo.

I like the poppies first, then the bamboo. I enjoy the pop of color from the first and the irregular edges of the second. Do let us know!

Yeah, the very peaceful blue of the sky and then the sedate greens and browns and greys of the field and the people and then BANG there's the bright orange of the poppies saying, "Look at me! Look at me! Over here! YOO HOO! Over here!" I think it'll be very cheerful on a grey day.
I like the irregular edges, too, though I'm wondering if they affect the function of the thing in any way.

I like the bamboo best. But I can picture you with the poppies.

What a lot of alliteration.

Yes, that was a well-constructed comment in the Jesse Jackson mould.
The poppies do look like me, don't they? Oh, so many choices, so little cash. It's a difficult decision.

I'm gonna second the poppies followed by the bamboo. The poppies are colourful and lovely and the bamboo just looks like something that was made to have water dumped over it.

That's a good way to put that. I do like that one, but now the Paris one is coming on strong in my affections. I wish, as I said to Mama below, that I could afford to buy them all.
