I've never heard of this show/series, what is it about?

It's a fictional life story of a girl/woman and her experiences, loves and dramas during the English Revolution. She starts life as an aristocratic ward of the King, works for both the Royalists and Cromwell, gets married three times, has two children, kills a couple men who have it in for her and discovers herself along the way. It's quite good actually :)
