Gosh, I should probably do this!

Cavil has got some crazy hacking abilities, so I imagine hacking into his posts (or tracking his posts) would require a lot of time and effort, but it would be possible, especially since he doesn't have any of his home world's technology with him. I think it would be even more difficult to pin down an exact location.

Yeeesss... I was curious about Cavil.

So, for tracking, just a general neighborhood? And can Spock tell any post content or just the originating location-ish?

Just the general neighborhood, I imagine, and not always reliably. He might be able to tell post content if he spends a long time on each individual post - think hours or days.

He is gathering information for the police, yes?

Superboy - is a technomoron, except for video games. Hack to your heart's content UNLESS Robin (Tim Drake) is encrypting the thread. Then you should go with whatever rule you've gotten for Tim, because he's insanely good with hacking. He has no telepathic resistance so to any degree you like.

Clint Barton (Hawkeye) - Basically, ditto. Only for him, it's Iron Man and Black Widow doing the encrypting. No resistance to anything like this, so feel free to have his location down to which seat on the couch.

Sam Winchester - Is canonically a very good hacker. It's not a power of his, but he knows what he's doing with computers. I'll say that Spock can still get in to do whatever he wants, but I'm going to restrict him to just a general neighborhood with the location pinpointing, as Sam does have some resistance to various mind powers.

Alright, so noted! I need to use that bit about the seat on the couch. :>

Full permission to go all out with Sonic, Tommy and Sasami (Sonic prefers to smash machinery, Tommy's shown canonically to need help with computer stuff, and Sasami's canonically shown very little interest in computers), though in cases of location, Spock would only get a general idea with Sasami because of Tsunami lurking around.

Awesome-sauce. Thanks for replying.

Kinda off topic, but I'd really like to plot with Sasami/Tsunami. I have absolutely no idea what about, but yeah. :3

You're welcome!

And I'd LOVE to do something with her in terms of plot! If you want, you can hit me up on AIM and we can bounce ideas off and whatnot!

Duck couldn't encrypt her way out of a paper bag, so everything she posts is fair game.

Vash could probably come up with some pretty tough encryptions, being a superintelligent dude from the future, but he's too lazy to put any effort into them unless he's talking to Knives. You can pretty much hack anything but his comments to Knives, and even then you could probably get a specific location for where Vash is commenting from.

But it's not like he has anything to hide, so whatever.

That's okay. Spock couldn't dance his way out of a paper bag, so it evens out.

So for Vash maybe go with the same rules RW's laid out for Knives? "Filtered" posts are cool, but "encrypted" isn't?

Duck can't dance very well either.

Works for me.

HMM. That's Weasel's power exactly, too. XD

Epic faito?

RIMMER, SHE-HULK and CAPTAIN HAMMER: Hack away. Especially in the last case, as he's a total idiot and couldn't encrypt something to save his life.

WEASEL: Here's where it gets tricky. We should sit down and work out a plot with these two at some point, since Weas IS being a naughty sort of boy. (But not killing people. Directly.)

EPIC FAITO.

We really do need to plot with them. So far, Spock is in control of prison communications and pretty much anything 'tech' related for the police. He's suspicious of Weasel's licensing, but can't really prove anything.

I figure he's still trying to out him, but the records seem legit and Spock is usually rather disinclined to pursue a hunch.
