Well, damn.

After meeting a few dangerously armed men, wolfly Firekeeper got shot dead. She lived less than a minute after being shot.

So here she is, dead on the floor. And no melting back to human shape for her - she's still very much a wolf.

Anyone wanting to deal with her may, by any means.

So here's Remus, kneeling down by her body and looking at it quizzically. "I hope these people aren't out during full moon," he notes, though it's mostly to himself.

Her mouth twitches. "Your friends are..." she pauses, trying to think diplomatically. "Energetic?" She decides, finally.

"No, I don't believe I have. But I think Khary mentioned him. Once or twice. Seemed to think he was a fairly likeable fellow. Which doesn't mean good things, in Khary's case." She grins at him, too, relaxing a little.

Mabon looks at him silently, and finally says, "Stand by her. I am going running for her soul."

So he gets up, long and lithe and sleek as a wolf in the woods, and is gone.

Which he does, soon enough, with a pale and gleaming something in his arms, and then he gets down beside Firekeeper and slowly, gently eases it back into her wolfly mouth.

Firekeeper's eyes snap open first, though still quite blank and unseeing, and her voice whispers through the air for a moment, barely a whisper. Pack?

Her tails thumps the ground once or twice. Mabon, she murmurs, and then slips into sleep.
