This morning a coworker approached me all happy about how our union has pretty much reached an agreement with the government which will allow our FTE members to get a 3700 signing bonus each, regardless of their term of employment

I just added this to the entry: I'm gonna keep hoping, but try not to fixate on it too much.
EDIT: Okay, thanks to Cliomuse, I did some research and found another recent Cupe 15 agreement for Langara College workers that states a Full Time Equivalent employee is "a probationary, permanent or temporary employee who worked on a full-time basis for a period [that equals a year up to the agreement]." If this holds true for this agreement, then I believe I'm in.
It certainly would be nice. And I REALLY WISH my boss was someone I was comfortable approaching and discussing these sorts of things with. But he's not.
