"quote" -  Sorry
about the blood in your mouth. I wish it was mine.

- from Richard Siken's Little Beast

i love lines like this. they seem quiet yet powerful. i can take a million different things from it and apply it to a million different situations; twist and turn it to fit a happy-go-lucky fluff piece or a dramatic epic. outside of using it as a prompt, quotes like this make me want to write something that other people find just as catching as i do which is also inspiring.

Wow, I love that line! I haven't read anything by Richard Siken's. Am I totally missing out?

have issues with getting caught up in characters and letting the setting slip away from me- even pieces where setting descrption gets its own chapter. thus i hoard pictures like these when i need inspiration so i can remember that there are so many little details in every day life. bike racks and fences; things i'd probably let slip away from me if not for these photos.

I'm a visual person, while songs and quotes help me, it's photos that tend to help me visualize things so much more.

Images inspire me the most. I'm not very visual, which makes this kind of weird, but I think that I'm intuitive enough to feel something from images and that creates a story or character or setting for me.

I'm also heavily inspired by other fiction. I think that's why I try to watch every movie and show and read every book no matter what they're about, because they add to my ideas of plot and character development.

Here are some random images from my "inspiration" folder:
