Aw, this was really cute. I love how awkward Castiel was in the beginning as "Trench Coat guy," and how he and Sam slowly became friends (and then something more). It was great how Sam just kind of accepted that Cas is clueless about most things, like coffee and texting and stuff. (I love how he just ordered "Coffee" in the beginning like there was only one type. :D

Thanks for such an awesome review! Awkward, learning to be human Castiel is one of my favourite aspects of the character. And I like to think that because Sam has always been on the road and isolated from "normal" that he can relate to not understanding certain social norms or things.
Haha, I know, if a demon were to attack, Sam would be in for a real eye-opener. Cas is much more capable then he thinks. I do plan on writing a sequel based on everything coming out, all the secrets being brought forward and having to deal with the consequences. Probably set four years from then, so it would pick up where the show started from (only with a very different roommate for Sam).
I agree, Coffee House AUs and Stanford fics seem to be a rarity, which is odd considering Sam's background. I've recently been obsessed with the Merlin fandom, and everywhere you turn there are Coffee House AUs EVERYWHERE. It's glorious. They definitely had a huge impact on my writing for this story.
Anyways, glad you enjoyed it! And thanks again for reviewing. :
This was great. There's all that underlying tension and angst with Sam being on his own, abandoned by his family. But it's all lightened up with Castiel's adorable awkwardness and how they slowly become friends and then more. This was a really nice read, I like how you portray Jess and her friendship with Sam. And Gabriel was awesome, too. hehehe
