After reading various reaction posts and stuff, I decided to make a quick (very small) video about my reaction.

So, in conclusion, thank you guys for being awesome and making it a fandom I plan to stick around in and continue playing in for the foreseeable future. Merlin fandom has been the nicest, warmest bunch of people I have had the pleasure of ( Read more... )

{hugs you} You are so very right. I, for one, plan on loving the heck out of the creativity of the fans of this show for a good while yet. You can join gfeather, itzcoatl, and I in our intransigence. <3

(hugs back) I would love to join your intransigence. I know there are still a gazillion and one fics in my head alone that I am dying to write. Definitely no plans on leaving any time soon. :D

When you said they can't stop us, I thought of Serenity, LOL! You can't stop the signal!!!! And then I went to Starship --- AWW YEAH BABY!!!!! Merlin fandom theme song IMO!

Haha, well, I am a Browncoat, so I guess it's in my blood holding on to fandoms long after everyone says it's over. :)

Loved the song. <3

Very, very well said. There's no way the fandom of Merlin is going to ever actually die once we get the final episode. It's going to be like when Firefly was canceled- it'll carry on for many years (maybe not necessarily ten, but it might) and the cast members can still go to conventions and such. This is also a good thing for the cast members because it gives them a chance to do other projects without being held back by Merlin. Maybe Bradly and Collin will have another project together. It's disappointing that we won't get to see certain things that we've been waiting for on screen, but at least there will be people writing about those things, and that's better than nothing.

Exactly! Haha, yeah, looking back at this, there is a definite Browncoat edge to it. I blame my roots as a firefly-obsessed teenager. "Can't stop the signal." I'm looking forward to see what everyone ends up doing. I mean, look at Nathan Fillion, I started to watch Castle because I love him (and now it's one of my favourite shows). So, yeah, it should be fun to see what happens next.

Exactly. It's disappointing that the show is probably going to end with so many unfinished plots left open, but they did say that it was only going to last for five seasons. It would have been nice if they'd extended it another year, though...I mean, Supernatural was probably only ever supposed to be like...five, and they've gotten it to eight (which is honestly probably going to be the last season).

Yeah, I blame Supernatural for my eternal optimism when it comes to shows sticking around longer then the cast, crew and producers say they will. Haha. Between Firefly and Supernatural I have gotten spoiled with shows living on much longer than anticipated. :)
