What does LAPD stand for, exactly?

Not quite. Wandering around during the ah...events kept me busy.

Well, if you want a guided tour, I can offer you my help. Unless you'd prefer a fellow Warden do the honors.

Fair enough. Up there in ten?

[she wants to get the inmate perspective. In ten minutes she's leaning over the deck-in uniform and pretty visible.]

[Carla takes him in. Military crimes she figures. Her dad bitched about Oliver North enough for her to have a basic knowledge of it.

Dad was ex-military too, and it was for that sake that she stuck a hand in her pocket and offered him one. Her handshake's firm.]

[Rourke's definitely evaluating her, though he technically started back while they were talking over the network, but nothing beats face to face interaction. Returning the firm handshake, he nods.]

Same to you. What was it that caused you to choose to become a police officer?

[Somebody's playing "Let's gather information." Her expression didn't waver. She shrugged.]

Surprised to see a girl as young as me doing it?

Not as surprised as you might think.

[He comes from a time when women were expected to wear corsets and stay at home, yet he personally trained a woman to be his personal lieutenant.]

[She shrugged] That's kind of enlightening.

Indulge me. A lot of people think of different reasons. What's your first guess?

[She stood up straight and did her best to appear perky-delightful and cheerful and cute. Swallowing inwardly. This guy was smart.]

Hmmm. There could be any number of reasons, as you said. If I were to hazard a guess, I would say that you were a lot closer to your father growing up than your mother.

[He knows that both Helga and Ramirez were close to their fathers and both turned out much like their fathers. He doesn't appear to even notice the cutesy act.]
