Can't stand it.

So, the pain has gone down. Last night, on a scale of one to ten, I was nearly up to fifteen. It was bad news. On top of that, I couldn't put any weight on my left leg. If I tried to act like it was a normal leg, it would buckle and I would tip over. Not good. I had to sleep like an ancient Egyptian painting, and even that wasn't all ( Read more... )

Oh god, you poor thing. Cortisone shots hurt, I've heard, but they're not supposed to hurt that badly, or for that long, I don't think. I mean, yeah, pain, but not "sweet jesus there's a bear eating my leg and it's an improvement" pain...

I'm so sorry you're going through this, and that the doctor didn't prepare you for the awful.

Ugh, I feel your pain! I'm glad you have one working leg, though. I sprained my left ankle and right foot back in the beginning of May and I could barely even move, let alone walk. Hopefully your pain will disappear fast, ugh.

Try to ice your ankle if you can - it may help with the pain. Is there any increased redness or swelling around the ankle?
