Now I'm feeling sorry for Spike, too. he's in a pretty hopeless situation now.

If I'm being honest I sat down to write this chapter with the intent to have Xander rescued. Then my muse threw me a curve ball and stuck Dru in there... and refused to let go of Xander. >.<

I have some idea of where the strange thing wants to go, but god knows when it'll change it's mind again and throw me for another loop.
