There was a knock on her door, A fairly solid knock.
In truth, he'd tried to reply via the network. He was no good at being consoling, especially when he was feeling somewhat inconsoleable himself. Even less so with text or stupid videos.
Not that he wanted her to think he pitied her or anything ridiculous like that - she was far too proud a person for that to go down well and the last thing he wanted to convey was any kind of disrespect.
So what WAS he going to say? No clue. But he'd figure out something. And if he couldn't, he at least had gifts.

She could have sat at her desk all day. She probably had the plans to. At least until there was a knock on the door. For a moment, she slumped her head down, and buried herself under her arms.
I'm not good company right now.
But it would be rude to turn anyone away. After all, maybe it was just someone delivering mail to her. Maybe it would be something from Ganondorf or Shinon. Her hope coerced her out of her chair and over to her door. It opened and when she saw Knuckles, she abruptly stopped.
You shouldn't see me like this.
But he was the only person who'd come so quickly to her. The sign of a true friend indeed. And to some degree, Knuckles was very, very close to her. As she stared, she tried to think of what to say and nothing really came.
Until.
"Well. I knew you admired me, but coming to my place at all hours of the day. I never would have guessed," she weakly teased.
"Well, you know. You're irresistable enough that I just couldn't keep away." Knuckles replied, his somber expression lifting just a little. "I know the neighbors will gossip, but they're just jealous."
He opened the bag he was carrying and inside could be seen a couple of sodas and some small prepackaged snacks. Nothing large or fancy - jus tthe general protein bars and chips he kept around for between meal snacks.
"....that and I figured you could maybe use something to munch on."
She eyed him for a period of time and she stepped aside and waved him in. "Come on in. Thanks for bringing me something to eat."
He must have known she probably wouldn't have without his help. A hand lifted and she toyed with her hair. Turning from him as she held the door open, she looked around her room.
"Ah... Make yourself comfortable. There's not much in here aside from my outfits and what not..."
And all of the jewelry that Ganondorf gave her. "But I hope it's not too out of sorts."
