catch her stealing she won't confess

Lalla supplies an email address -- created specifically for this purpose -- and double checks her information.

She's been quite thorough, actually.

It doesn't take long for him to send an email to the address provided. Although this method of talking with another person is slightly troubling, it's just part of the ad requirements.

I apologize in advance if I ask too many questions of you, but this in my first time taking freelance missions in the Nexus. However, I can assure you that I'm efficient with such tasks. If you have any questions for me, I don't mind answering them.

All I wish to know is what form of payment seems acceptable for such a task. Also, I'd like to know if there's any immediate dangers or something I should note before heading to this location. There is one other thing on my mind, but it can be asked later.

Lalla, honestly, is a little frustrated by the stumbling blocks between her and what she wants -- if she could, she'd just go to the nexus herself. It'd be so much easier. (Right up until it overloaded her ability and she spent the next month in a coma, that is.)

Understood; it's only wise to be cautious in the nexus.

American dollars will be simplest for me. The number is negotiable, but let's bear in mind the relative simplicity. 75 USD is a good starting point.

Wear good walking shoes. The pool is located in the ruins of a courtyard. Other than that, it is as I said quite simple. I have a map available with directions, of course, but it may not be entirely reliable due to the changing nature of the nexus.

If you fall in, you will find it stains.

Your question?

I'm glad that you understand my outlook on the Nexus then.

Hmm...That amount is perfectly acceptable, however, I'd like to negotiate a bit more. Information carries much more importance to me than monetary payments, after all.

Duly noted. The inconsistent terrain will be something I'll take into consideration, plus I don't want my wardrobe stained. I'd appreciate the map and any additional information you can relay to me.

Why do you need such a substance?

It's one I share.

Very well. What exactly are you seeking?

The map and directions are attached.

It holds sentimental value.

Characteristically concise -- Lalla hates talking, and just because it's text-based doesn't make it any better -- she's rather to the point. Her directions, however, are a little more generous. The attached map is a simple sketch on ruled paper, notations in a feminine hand and the page scanned onto the computer.

It details a market place nearby the main question area of the nexus, paths to follow to a particular alley which leads into the courtyard in question, and the fallen, broken pillar that obscures the pool from immediate view.
